Work. Life. Balance.

3 little words that really are music to my ears.

It really doesn't matter where you are in life if you're just starting out, or you're married or you have a zillion kids everyone is searching for a balanced life.

Some days you think you have everything under control and then there are those days that sneak up on you and pull the rug form underneath you. Speaking from my absolute heart being a working mum is probably one of the hardest things and I sympathise with any beautiful mums out there that are in the same chaos that I am.

I'm typically out of the house including travel for my part time position around 25 hours a week. And when I am home I'm juggling two businesses, being a mum, a wife to my husband, two dogs and a house!

It's hard.

But we do what we gotta do and somehow at the end of the week we've managed to keep the household alive which deserves a big tick of approval.

Through trial and error, I've found a secret to keep myself sane:

I always put myself and my family first.

That's it.

I think if you always make sure your happiness is paramount,  then everything else just seems to fall into place.

The boys are my main priority and when I'm home I try and give them both my undivided attention and work in my other two businesses around them... which, as crazy as this sounds, can sometimes mean getting up at 3:30am in the morning.

While my husband drives off to work I can be found tucked into our bed with my iPhone working away while my little boy is normally snuggled in next to me fast asleep. I know I must sound like I have a screw loose but this means a couple of hours work up my sleeve before he wakes for the day and the mental school run begins.

I just do what needs to be done. I know what my goals are.

And I think when you fully understand your "Why" then all the "How To" comes easy.

Make sure you appreciate the people in your circle too. I know the sacrifices my family have to make from time to time with me having so much on my plate, so I don't ever forget to appreciate them. I wouldn't be able to do what I do without the incredible love and support of my beautiful husband Rob.

Deep down, do you have goals? Would you love to change your situation and have more work life balance... but think you don't have time?

Then I suggest re-reading over this and making some time.

Everyone has time.

I fit my business into the pockets of my life. So, as 2015 starts coming to a close, it's a really good time to reflect and look back on the year that was.

Ask yourself, are you more comfortable with where you are now than 12 months prior?

If not, change it.

You have the power to completely change your life. Whether you want to change the last 12 months, 5 years or even 10 years, the power is in your hands and your hands only.

Don't allow the next year to be a mirror image of the last.

I hope you and your families have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy and safe start to the New Year.

For me, I think it's going to be a big one.
